There is one thing that rock music fan always chant with...authentic.
A rich band sings about being poor or being working class...gosh, sure
there will be contradiction and conflict. So they always have to
handle this issue, maybe evolve the theme of the music and image...
Talk about this recall me a story. Lester bangs, a famous rock critic/
writer, on tour with one of his favour band, the clash. The highly
acclaimed punk band has an essential element in their
image...righteous. Somehow, bangs witnessed one of the band member,
allows his companies, may roadies, beat a passerby. The band member
didn't join, but smile or laugh aside.
Not too bad. Not righteous either.
